Byways & Doors

It sometimes happens that, in your wanderings, you find yourself totally lost.

Sometimes this is just an inconvenience, a thing to be fixed; other times you may find, by luck or happenstance, that opening a secret door, or going down an unexpected byway, you end up in some place elsewhere. 

And if you were to find like-minded company, with some trial and error, you would realise that there are many elsewheres, and many places, people and stories to be told. Naturally, some stories must be shared; the task of tale telling is a tall one, but if the company is good and the ways many, you should try, shouldn’t you?

Thus, Byways & Doors was founded: a shop, a centre of research, a home to wanderers -- and the place we tell our stories from.

Dr. Talltales earned a doctorate in something entirely unrelated, before accidentally opening a Door and deciding that tale telling and wandering byways are a better occupation. She collects idioms and rhymes because they’re easy to pack. She has a horrible sense of direction, but irony hasn’t gotten the best of her yet.
